Hypothesized that antisocial behavior evidenced at home at an early age would increase the likelihood that antisocial behavior would be displayed at school 1 yr later in 80 4th-grade boys. Measures included the Child Behavior Checklist and the Walker-McConnell Scale of Social Competence and School Adjustment. A chi-square goodness-of-fit test for the model showed a strong agreement between the hypothesized model and the observed covariance structure of the data. Results provide support for the presence of an antisocial trait that is consistent across time and settings.
