Romain (Ro) Decrop obtuvo su doctorado en psicolog\u00eda cl\u00ednica en la especialidad de psicolog\u00eda cl\u00ednica infantil de la Universidad Estatal de Bowling Green y, en la actualidad, es becario posdoctoral en el Laboratorio Pelham de la Universidad de California \u2013 San Diego. En t\u00e9rminos generales, la investigaci\u00f3n del Dr. Decrop analiza c\u00f3mo surgen y evolucionan con el tiempo las conductas externalizantes (por ejemplo, la mentira, el consumo de sustancias o la agresividad), as\u00ed como los factores de desarrollo, interpersonales y contextuales que determinan su persistencia y su agravamiento hasta convertirse en problemas graves (por ejemplo, la delincuencia o los trastornos cl\u00ednicos). M\u00e1s recientemente, ha comenzado a aplicar este trabajo a iniciativas destinadas a mejorar el tratamiento del consumo de sustancias en adolescentes, tanto perfeccionando el contenido de las intervenciones como ampliando las formas en que se puede prestar una atenci\u00f3n basada en la evidencia. Esto incluye el desarrollo de enfoques psicosociales que fomenten la honestidad y la confianza entre el cuidador y el adolescente (Fomentar la confianza en el marco de la gesti\u00f3n de
