El Centro para la Prevenci\u00f3n del Abuso de Drogas en el Sistema de Bienestar Infantil reuni\u00f3 a cient\u00edficos y expertos nacionales para integrar los conocimientos de 32 estudios finalizados y en curso financiados con fondos federales con el fin de ayudar a colmar las lagunas existentes en la investigaci\u00f3n, la pr\u00e1ctica y la pol\u00edtica de prevenci\u00f3n del abuso de drogas. Dentro de este marco, el equipo trat\u00f3 de proporcionar una conceptualizaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s informada de las intervenciones basadas en la evidencia para los ni\u00f1os y las familias en el Sistema de Bienestar Infantil, aumentar la aplicaci\u00f3n de estas intervenciones y, en \u00faltima instancia, reducir la incidencia del abuso de drogas y problemas relacionados.<\/p>\n
Dirigido por el investigador principal John Reid, el Centro contaba con 11 cient\u00edficos multidisciplinares y un consejo asesor externo formado por expertos locales y nacionales en servicios infantiles, pol\u00edtica e investigaci\u00f3n sobre el consumo de sustancias. Entre los cient\u00edficos principales del Centro se encontraban Patricia Chamberlain, Dave DeGarmo, Phil Fisher, John Landsverk, Leslie Leve y Katherine Pears. El Centro tambi\u00e9n apoy\u00f3 el desarrollo profesional de cuatro cient\u00edficos (Jackie Bruce, Hyoun Kim, Lisa Saldana y Dana Smith).<\/p>\n
En concreto, el Centro se centr\u00f3 en tres \u00e1reas principales: la relaci\u00f3n entre el estr\u00e9s, la neurobiolog\u00eda y la gen\u00e9tica y el abuso de drogas; el papel de los padres en el sistema de bienestar infantil; y una evaluaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica de un conjunto de gastos de bienestar infantil relacionados espec\u00edficamente con el acogimiento de ni\u00f1os fuera del hogar familiar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
