La memoria funcional, o a corto plazo, es fundamental para las capacidades de pensamiento de alto nivel, como el razonamiento y la aptitud acad\u00e9mica. Los ni\u00f1os en situaci\u00f3n de riesgo, como los de bajo nivel socioecon\u00f3mico, muestran disparidades en sus respuestas cerebrales y conductuales durante las tareas de memoria de trabajo. Un grupo de 80 ni\u00f1os de nivel socioecon\u00f3mico bajo practic\u00f3 un juego de entrenamiento cognitivo en sus casas durante 15 sesiones a lo largo de 4 semanas; la mitad recibi\u00f3 la versi\u00f3n de tratamiento del juego, mientras que la otra mitad recibi\u00f3 una versi\u00f3n de control.
