El Early Growth and Development Study – Health (EGDS-Health) fue un estudio prospectivo longitudinal en el que participaron 561 conjuntos de ni\u00f1os y padres adoptivos de EGDS-Fase I y Fase II. EGDS-Health ampli\u00f3 el trabajo de los proyectos EGDS anteriores explorando el crecimiento f\u00edsico y la salud de los ni\u00f1os. Nos centramos en los h\u00e1bitos y comportamientos alimentarios de 561 conjuntos de ni\u00f1os, padres adoptivos y de padres biol\u00f3gicos, examinando los h\u00e1bitos diet\u00e9ticos familiares, las preferencias alimentarias, las actividades f\u00edsicas y los patrones de crecimiento infantil desde el nacimiento hasta la infancia media. Nos interesaba especialmente identificar los factores ambientales y gen\u00e9ticos que favorecen el crecimiento f\u00edsico y el peso saludable a lo largo del tiempo.<\/p>\n
EGDS-Health fue financiado por el Instituto Nacional de Diabetes y Enfermedades Digestivas y Renales. Se pidi\u00f3 a cada padre biol\u00f3gico que respondiera a una serie de cuestionarios durante una entrevista telef\u00f3nica. Se entrevist\u00f3 a cada padre adoptivo cuando el ni\u00f1o ten\u00eda entre 7 y 9 a\u00f1os, rellen\u00f3 una serie de cuestionarios en l\u00ednea y particip\u00f3 en tres breves entrevistas telef\u00f3nicas centradas en la dieta y las actividades del ni\u00f1o durante las 24 horas anteriores.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
