OSLC realiz\u00f3 un ensayo aleatorizado de eficacia de KITS 2005-2010 y un estudio de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oslc.org\/projects\/kids-transition-school-kits-follow\/\">seguimiento<\/a> de 2010-2015.<\/p>\n<p>KITS est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para mejorar la preparaci\u00f3n escolar psicosocial y acad\u00e9mica mediante un enfoque doble: 1) un grupo de preparaci\u00f3n escolar de 24 sesiones centrado en el fomento de las habilidades socioemocionales y la alfabetizaci\u00f3n temprana de los ni\u00f1os, y 2) un taller para padres de 12 sesiones centrado en promover la participaci\u00f3n de los padres en la alfabetizaci\u00f3n temprana y el uso de pr\u00e1cticas positivas de crianza. El curr\u00edculo manualizado de KITS se imparte durante los dos meses anteriores y los dos primeros meses del kindergarten.<\/p>\n<p>Basado en investigaciones realizadas a lo largo de 10 a\u00f1os y financiadas por el Departamento de Educaci\u00f3n de EE.UU., el Instituto Nacional sobre el Abuso de Drogas, el Instituto Nacional de Salud y Desarrollo Infantil y varias fundaciones, el Programa KITS ha demostrado que influye positivamente en las aptitudes de preparaci\u00f3n para la escuela de los ni\u00f1os en cuidado de acogida, los que padecen discapacidades y retrasos en el desarrollo y los ni\u00f1os de entornos empobrecidos.
