As\u00ed, el Proyecto StAR se dise\u00f1\u00f3 para investigar el impacto de experiencias adversas tempranas espec\u00edficas y los procesos cognitivos subyacentes a la regulaci\u00f3n conductual (es decir, la asunci\u00f3n de riesgos y el control inhibitorio) sobre el consumo de alcohol en adolescentes maltratados y no maltratados. Para este proyecto, se reclutaron 125 adolescentes maltratados y 125 adolescentes no maltratados, y se recogieron datos de los adolescentes y sus padres una vez al a\u00f1o entre la adolescencia temprana (12-13 a\u00f1os) y la media (15-16 a\u00f1os).
