Desde que se inici\u00f3 el programa en 1990, han participado clases de 12 escuelas situados en barrios con un \u00edndice de delincuencia juvenil superior a la media de la zona de Eugene-Springfield.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bio\">Las escuelas se seleccionaron al azar para participar como una esuela de prevenci\u00f3n o una escuela de enriquecimiento y para incluir las clases de 1\u00ba o 5\u00ba grado. Se pidi\u00f3 a todas las familias del grado seleccionado que participaran.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bio\">Los participantes en las escuelas de enriquecimiento participaron solamente en las fases de evaluaci\u00f3n del programa. La evaluaci\u00f3n incluy\u00f3 observaciones en el patio de recreo, calificaciones de compa\u00f1eros, calificaciones de profesores, entrevistas familiares, cuestionarios para padres e hijos, tareas de interacci\u00f3n familiar y consultas de expedientes escolares y judiciales.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bio\">Adem\u00e1s de la evaluaci\u00f3n descrita, los participantes en la escuela de prevenci\u00f3n recibieron una intervenci\u00f3n dise\u00f1ada para evitar que se desarrollen o progresen los comportamientos problem\u00e1ticos, influyendo simult\u00e1neamente en los padres, los profesores y los ni\u00f1os para<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>enriquecer las interacciones familiares,<\/li>\n<li>aumentar las interacciones prosociales y reducir las negativas entre compa\u00f1eros, y<\/li>\n<li>mejorar la coordinaci\u00f3n entre el hogar y la escuela.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"bio\">La eficacia de la intervenci\u00f3n se evalu\u00f3 mediante un dise\u00f1o de investigaci\u00f3n que inclu\u00eda evaluaciones previas a la intervenci\u00f3n, posteriores a la intervenci\u00f3n y de seguimiento anual de todos los participantes.
