Este estudio consisti\u00f3 en un an\u00e1lisis secundario de 323 adultos j\u00f3venes (184 mujeres y 139 hombres; edad media 21 a\u00f1os) y sus parejas rom\u00e1nticas de la muestra comunitaria Linking the Interests of Families and Teachers (LIFT). En primer lugar, el estudio utiliz\u00f3 un dise\u00f1o prospectivo para probar un modelo de mediaci\u00f3n de los factores de riesgo del desarrollo (familia, compa\u00f1eros, adaptaci\u00f3n de los j\u00f3venes) en la infancia y la adolescencia a la violencia de pareja en la edad adulta joven, incluyendo la violencia y las lesiones f\u00edsicas, psicol\u00f3gicas y sexuales.
